International Education Week

November 18-22, 2024

Join us in celebrating International Education Week (IEW) at Emory from November 18th-22, 2024. IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote and celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

Local to Global: Celebrating International Education at Emory

The theme of 2024 International Education Week at Emory is "Local to Global: Celebrating International Education Week at Emory." Emory University prides itself on its diverse and inclusive community, where local perspectives and global insights merge to create a rich educational experience.

Global education and exchange at Emory encompass outbound educational experiences, global exchange among faculty and students, research and fieldwork experiences around the world, engagement with global partners, companies, NGOs, and communities in the Atlanta area, and the rich contribution of our international students and scholars on Emory's campus.

IEW aims to highlight Emory's cultural diversity, bringing together faculty, staff, students and alumni to celebrate their global education experiences, and to foster networking and collaboration around global engagement.

Goals of International Education Week at Emory:
  • Celebrate Emory research, collaboration, and engagement around the world
  • Build community among Emory colleagues leading international education and exchange
  • Advocate for the importance of and access to global education opportunities
