Nomination Criteria for Sheth Alumni Award
Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award
The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award, established in 2002 by a generous gift from Madhu and Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing, recognizes Emory University's international alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to universities, governments, private sector firms, and/or non-governmental organizations. Selection criteria for the Sheth Award include the following:
- The nominee should be an international alumni.
- The nominee must be highly distinguished in his/her business, profession, or life's work, either internationally or nationally in his/her home country.
- The nominee must be of such stature and fame that students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Emory University will take pride in and be inspired by his/her recognition.
- The nominee must be an individual who has helped his/her country or the world population by outstanding contributions to humanity, science, art, or human welfare.
- The nominee must be an individual who in deed or in action reflects the importance of his/her education at Emory University.
Recipients of the award are chosen by a selection committee appointed and chaired by the Vice Provost for Global Strategy and Initiatives. Nominations remain in the pool for two years, though letters refreshing the nomination are welcomed.
