Shinn Ko
Shinsaeng (Shinn) Ko is Assistant Vice Provost for International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) in the Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives. In this role, she leads a team of dedicated professionals providing immigration and programming services for the university community.
ISSS aspires to be a comprehensive resource for Emory University’s diverse, vibrant international community through advocacy, collaboration, education, policy consultation, and immigration expertise. Shinn also serves as part of the senior leadership team for GSI.
Active in a number of international education associations, such as NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Shinn has served in a variety of regional and national leadership roles. Shinn is currently on the NAFSA Board of Directors and serves as Vice President for Professional Development and Engagement. She came to Emory in the fall of 2014 from the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as senior associate director of its ISSS office.
Shinn earned her M.S. in management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
