Sarah Harlan Zegeye

Sarah Harlan Zegeye (MDP 2015) is the Senior Associate Director of Global Services in the Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives (GSI). Global Services offers a single point of contact to assist faculty and staff with business and administrative questions and issues that can arise when conducting global work (research projects abroad, international collaborations, hosting visitors, etc.). She joined the office in 2017.

Sarah brings to GSI experience working on projects and initiatives with the public and private sector across the Middle East and South Asia. She spent five years working on issues and initiatives in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia before pursuing graduate work in international development. Prior to joining GSI, Sarah provided project management support for USAID economic growth activities in the Middle East and Asia with Chemonics International.  

Earning her B.A. in Foreign Service with a concentration in Middle East and Islamic studies from Georgetown University, Sarah holds an M.A. in Development Practice from Emory in 2015. During her time there, she interned with Save the Children in Bangladesh and with Coca-Cola in Atlanta.
