Alma Reynal Quintanilla
Alma Karla Reynal Quintanilla is Senior Program Coordinator for Global Safety and Security in the Office of Global Strategy and Initiatives. Her role focuses on strengthening safety and security for Emory’s global travelers and its global activities.
Originally from Puebla, Mexico, Alma is passionate about building bridges through international education. She has served in public and private institutions attending a diverse student and faculty population, including first gen and underrepresented students.
Prior to joining GSI, Alma kicked off her professional career in the U.S. working for the University of California, Irvine (UCI) as Inbound and Custom Program Advisor where she advised international students, supported faculty-led, first-year, and custom programs, as well as provided students and faculty with consultations on safety and health to meet (UCI) policies and guidelines.
Alma has a B.A. degree in International Relations from Universidad de las Americas Puebla, and a master's degree in management Organizations from Universidad Popular Autonoma del Estado de Puebla. Alma is fluent in Spanish and English.
