This award recognizes Emory student leaders who have played a vital role in promoting global and cross-cultural understanding through their involvement in campus and/or community organizations and programs.

Eligibility Requirements:

Nominees must: 

  • Be a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate, graduate, or professional student at Emory University until at least May 2026.
  • Have completed at least one full academic year at Emory prior to nomination.
 Criteria:  
  1. Demonstrated Leadership:Has shown consistent leadership in advancing international awareness and cross-cultural engagement at Emory or in the surrounding community. 
  2. Organizational Involvement:Active and sustained participation in or leadership of student organizations, programs, or initiatives that focus on global, multicultural, or intercultural themes. 
  3. Impact:Has made an impact on campus climate or community through practices, events, mentorship, advocacy, or programming that promote global engagement. 
  4. Collaboration and Inclusivity:Works effectively with people from all backgrounds and fosters inclusive environments that support global perspectives.  

Nominations for this award can be made by faculty and staff. Competitive nominees will be in good academic standing and have no disciplinary actions against them. Recipients of the award are chosen by a selection committee appointed by the Vice Provost for Emory Global Engagement.
