The Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning

Established in 1997 with a gift from Claus M. Halle, the Halle Institute collaborates with schools, centers, and other partners to lead and influence global scholarship, research, and teaching and to prepare engaged scholars. Its founding principle is that cross-cultural understanding occurs most richly when people meet face-to-face.

A central hub supporting international scholarship at Emory, the Halle Institute leads Emory's five country initiatives and brings distinguished visitors from around the world into dialogue with faculty, students, and the broader Atlanta community to facilitate the direct exchange of ideas.
