Halle Distinguished Fellows

The 2017 Halle Distinguished Fellow was Ambassador Arun Singh. Ambassador Singh served in India's foreign service for over 35 years with postings in Russia, France, Japan, Ethiopia, and--most recently--the United States. He made four visits to Emory's campus in 2017.

The Halle Institute’s Distinguished Fellow Program brought influential international personalities to the Emory campus for intensive interaction with faculty, staff and students, as well as with the Atlanta community and area institutions. The Halle Institute collaborated with Emory faculty, programs and schools, and with partners in the broader community, to host heads of state, politicians, policymakers, researchers, artists, and journalists who bring unique perspectives on important world issues. Fellows gave public lectures, participated in seminars at Emory and other educational institutions, visited classes, and met with political, business, and media leaders in Atlanta.
