India Week

Launched in 2010, India Week—formerly the India Summit—was the brainchild of a dynamic team of students and faculty from across the university. A forum to discuss current events and scholarly research while highlighting and promoting Emory's history of engagement with India, the week regularly featured distinguished business leaders, foreign policy experts, government officials, and scholars from a variety of fields.

Past speakers have included acclaimed author and University Distinguished Professor Salman Rushdie, pioneering epidemiologist William Foege, Ambassador Nirupama Rao, and technology entrepreneur Vivek Wadhwa, among many others.

Past events showcased the paradigm shift in the world's economic context from developed to emerging economies and facilitated deeper bonds between the university and India with the aim of building a long-lasting relationship of leadership and understanding.
